Melo Open Net Terms of Use

This is a message to my neighbors

I have 2 wireless routers. One is a FON (http://www.fon.com/en/) wireless router, so, when I’m using it, the following simply does not apply.

Dear Neighbors,

I really don’t mind having you using my Access Point (my wireless router) for surfing around. You may use it, but you may not abuse.

If you use it, you agree that:

  • you won’t try to invade my privacy;
  • you’ll use it for casual surfing, not bulk downloads or p2p’s;
  • you won’t do any illicit activity through this connection.

Off course, at any time, I might want to enable WPA or filter MAC addresses. If this language is a little techie for you, read as “Of course, at any time, I might want to turn security on, making it more difficult for anyone to use this router, or I can decide to disallow specific computers from using it”.

And by the way, as my SSID (Network Name) is “http://transientis.com/melo-net” (exactyly the same as this page’s url), for sure you must have read this message, if you are connected to my wireless router.

If you want, you are welcome to drop me a message.

Enjoy and best regards,

António
